- Imposter claiming to be “D” uses slightly different email address. Distributed via a photoshopped / falsified copy of the PP eHandbook. Scammer follows the same procedure as D but requests another $525 payment for a (nonexistent) SSA license. At a later stage they claim customs had seized the package and offers to send a new package at 50% of the price ($350) plus another $525 for the new “SSA license”. Email with the scammer’s explanation below: "Dear Client, Your parcel is blocked by local customs authorities (LCA) that refuse to clear your parcel without the required Subsecretaría de Regulación y Fomento Sanitario Secretaría de Salud (SSA) of the United Mexican license. The LCA request the SSA sticker before the parcel can be cleared for shipment to [country]. According to the [country] Customs Laws, agents have the right to request any additional document on parcel due to terrorism and drugs deal signaled in the Mexico. Due to the lack of the SSA sticker, your parcel shall follow a process with the presence of an SSA agent. The LCA will deposit your parcel to the Drugs enforcement division at the Mexico City International airport and the parcel shall been examinated by an SSA expert that will evaluate if the parcel's contents are legal, authentic and approved by the SSA. Once your parcel is transfered to the drug enforcement division, the recipient of such parcel will be summoned to the drugs enforcement office at the airport of their respective country and after questioning and hearing the package will be delivered without any other question, this process is initiated very fast. To avoid the above mentioned process you can alternatively pay for the SSA license so that we can approve of the shipment and clear it for quick shipment to your address in [address] on 04 April 2022 or 05 April 2022 depending on the procedures time-line. The SSA license is valid for 24 months and is delivered for personal use and can't be used for a trader or business. It can be purchased for $525."

I received this scam email from a ppeh copy I had. I do not remember where I downloaded the copy, though. I emailed the scam email, and everything seemed fine. I payed them an initial $700 for two bottles of N. They then told me the parcel was stuck in mexico, and I needed to pay an extra $525 for some license. I payed for the “license”. Then, shortly later, they told me the parcel was seized and “destroyed”. After that, they offered to sell me 2 bottles for $350, instead of the usual $700. Thankfully, I discovered that I was being scammed before paying $350.
Sadly I got scammed, too! Luckily, I only paid 1/2 for one bottle (I told them that if I trusted them, they had to trust me to pay the second half afterwards). Then I received a similar email (see below), which was suspicious in many ways (“FedEx has ‘recently’ sent me the following email” – too little time between my payment and them apparently having brought it to FedEx and on the same day gotten a customs notification!! and “examinated”??) – more so obviously after googling it and coming across this page!
